| | I know I'll get flak for this, but I chose Harbinger. The sculpts are awful, the proportions on weapons ridiculous, and the colours are ones that my 10yr old would have chosen. I have one HB kuo-toa and a few hell hounds and hyenas, and am satisfied not owning any other HB models... | | Shottglazz "Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand; I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me."

| Before the last couple of sets I would have went with Wardrums, but at least it had a dozen or so figures I use regularly. The paint jobs are what really hurt that set.
It is a close run between AtG, and DuoDr. I flipped a coin and AtG won. | | “There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.”

| Posted By Wolfgang on 07/24/2008 9:05 AM and how about the ogre skirisher from WOTDQ he is a giant They are the giant type, but when I say giant (like most other people NOT being technical ), I mean hill giant, frost giant, fire giant, etc (large giants). If we did giant type for Uc/C then there is the Skullcrusher Ogre, Troll Slasher, Forest Troll (yup, I believe it has giant as its type), cloud giant (huge, not large), Taer, Half-Ogre Barbarian, Mountain Troll, and Ogre Skirmisher. But anyway, it's ok if you think WD is the worst set. I'm sure if there are any 'worst' sets because they all have pluses as far as I am concerned.

Oh, and I'd agree that Harbinger is the worst set ever. Good selection of critters but by far the overall worst sculpts (did any humanoid have a discernable face?) and worst color palette.
At least with the more recent sets I can paint over the hideous paint jobs and they usually have decent sculpts. Repainting Harbinger minis is usually just kind of painful.
My one caveat is that the Bearded Devil is still the most awesome sculpt ever in the DDM line
And, in fairness, Harbinger was the first shot. New product, new technology (injection molding rather than casting) for the company, and probably production artists who weren't sure what they could do with the medium.

| This is a close one for me. I have long hated Harbinger, but am also torn between DuD and AtG. Ultimately I think I've got to vote for AtG. This is the 16th set of miniatures and it looks worse than stuff we were getting years ago and it also proves pretty well that no one is really listening to what we want made.
To OhGodtheRats: That's not always been the case. When Underdark, Blood War and Night Below came out none were bashed like this. | I'm shocked at the hate for Harbinger. Perhaps it's partly a skirmish vs. RPG thing?
The scultps aren't great in Harbinger, but I'm still using the minis in RPG, because they're ... useful. I'd rather that than pretty looking sculpts that sit on the shelf gathering dust.

| First: I cannot understand those who have voted harbinger.Men,it is the best set ever! Second: Dungeons Dread as the worst set ever without any doubt. My reasons:
1- Absolutely useless in skirmish play. 2-Tons of resculpts. 3-Poor paintjob. 4-Awful new desing of certain creatures (the troglodyte is...). | | LOVE THIS GIRL

| I personally wouldn't rate Harbinger high on my list of top sets, but it has some nice useful minis. It's certainly not my biggest dissapointment (aside from how hard it is to acquire them).
AtG has been largely dissapointing to me. There are a few nice sculpts, but many others that are not so nice. Same with the paint...it seems to me (from what I've seen in-hand so far) that there is more bad than good in either category though. A good example is one of the first rares I pulled; the Storm Giant...talk about a depressing rare to pull! He's the poster child for bad minis from what I've seen so far imho. his hammer has one side that is bent - and I don't mean fix it with hot water bent, it's more like a 'this is the way it was cast' bent. His teeth, mouth & eyes, are painted the same flat blue color as his skin. A simple dunk in a black wash would have been preferrable to what I pulled. I also have pulled a Golden Wyvern Initiate with eyes; both whites and pupils, lips, and a wash that brought out detail in the clothing...a smaller, uncommon mini with better paint detail than the large sized rare. WTF??? If anything, they need to make the rares higher quality. When I pull nice commons and uncommons yet my rare is horrid it makes me feel like I wasted my money. I'm done with boosters/cases from this set. I probably only purchased a quarter of what I usually get.

| | Anyone notice that the three most hated sets (Harbinger, War Drums, and AtG) have 6 sets in between each of them that didn't get many votes - or at least they seem to be generally accepted as decent sets judging by the comments about them (or lack thereof). Hopefully this is a trend and we're due for 6 more decent sets of minis in the future. | |

| I voted for Archfiends. I wasn't that interested in the Aspects. I didn't like the Clay Golem or the Unicorn. There were a number of other little things that bugged me in the set like odd monster choices and figures that couldn't stand up. Not to mention the Vrock's base problem.
Close to behind would be Dungeons of Dread. If the quality of sets are supposed to have an upwards trendline then DoD 2 is pretty far below what you would expect. | | Do you like games John? Absolutely!
