Really the only choice. He was head and shoulders above the rest this year.
I do think that Toews was a better rookie (and will be a better player in the future) than Kane. He should have won the Calder. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| After draft day the Habs are no longer Habs not, so it seems. The Sharks drafted twins yes it's true and Matt Carle's(San Jose) younger brother was drafted by Tampa Bay. Which was done out of kindness as the younger Carle was dianognosed with a condition that causes an enlarged heart. This was found out the day before the draft. David (younger brother) can no longer play hockey due tio his condition. I thought it was kinda cool that Tampa Bay would do that for him, considering the situation. (There is more to the story but my fingers+brain) don't always work when needed. Hence no link.... Last but not least, Sharks are in discussions with Brian Campbell's agent. Oh yeah baby! Barry Melrose-head coach of the Lightening? Say it isn't so.

| Yeah, the Carle Saga really is interesting.
His college is still honoring his scholarship, too. Very cool.

| It's nice to see that the "big business" side of the NHL can still look past the bottom line and do something from the heart. Kudos to the Lightning for their good humanitarian work.
I still hope that the Habs do more to make the team stronger. I believe that my team was a little bit lucky last year, and is not really the best in the east. It hurts to say that, but it's true. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| Well the Sharks signed several players eariler in the week Pavelski, Roenick and Boucher. Still no word on Campbell makes me think that he'll try free agency hopefully just to test the waters. I am afraid that if the Sharks don't sign him, we'll have a big gaping hole in the defense that I don't think we'll be able to plug. Sigh. I know think positive.

| | Roenick got a big shot of adrenaline last year from Doug Wilson's belief in him. I'm not sure that he'll be as good this year. They'd better keep Campbell, or they'll have no good offensive D-man. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

They'd better keep Campbell, or they'll have no good offensive D-man. Yeah that's true, but we must remember he is a passionate guy. Something the Sharks have been lacking. With a new head coach in place I don't forsee Marleau being the captain next season. It has become Joe's team so who better to have it. The Campbell situation is really starting to get under my skin. Free agency is already here.

| I agree that Thornton has been the leader of the Sharks since he arrived. I'd love to have Marleau on the Habs. I'm also with you on Roenick's passion for the game.
Darcy Tucker of the Leafs is another heart-and-soul guy that's being shopped around. He'd be a good addition to almost any team. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| So once again the San Jose Sharks has shown what idiots they can truly be. In what must be the fastest negoiations on the planet, Brian Campbell signs with the Chicago Blackhawks for 8 years @ 7+ million per. Since we are a "family" site. I shall digress from spewing many sentences of profanity. I shall digress into profanity on MySpace. I can't understand the y or the how on this one. Arrgh!!

| I'm also surprised that Cambpell went to the Blackhawks. He's in the prime of his playing career, and Chicago's at least two or three years away from being a contender.
Edmonton looks like they got a lot stronger too. Apparently, they're also in the lead for the Sundin sweepstakes. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| | Laraque to the Habs. Good move, as they needed some toughness mixed in with their good finesse players. We still need a big centre-man though. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

Same here. I like Rob Blake's game, but he's not even close to the Norris form he had around a decade ago. And he is certainly no replacement for Brian Campbell. From Blake's point of view, I guess he's not ready to retire yet, and didn't want to move too far away from home. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades.

| Boyle ended up in San Jose along with his defense partner from Tampa as well, Brad Lukowich. I doin't think the Sharks are done dealing yet either. Should be interesting.
