| OK, I've threatened to do this for a while and it's finally getting close to completion. In honor of 4th edition and the first 4E adventure I've created custom 1"-scale maps for every encounter (at least the encounters which don't use the included maps) and I've repainted virtually every mini (134 plus some statues) used in the module. This thread will be where I post pics of the minis situated on the maps.
My gaming group has started the adventure and I'll post pics as I can. My goal is to start posting pics this weekend.
I'm still not sure if it's better to post here (in the D&D forum) or in the Crafters' Corner (since it's a LOT of custom painting/mapping). Comments/suggestions/requests are welcome.

| Well, we were moving pretty quickly. Cruised through 5 encounters + substantial role-play in a 6 hour session.
Sending players to grab a soda doesn't work, either, since the fridge is literally 3 feet from the table | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? Champion of Dwarven Thunderlashers Knight of the Large Dire Chicken Have/Want List Trade References | |

| Further along the road (along a very familiar-looking bend) the party is once again ambushed by a group of kobolds. This time a wyrmpriest leads the attack and the battle proves much more difficult for the party.

| After a rest and information gathering stop in Winterhaven, the PCs set off to explore rumors of a cave where kobolds seem to have established a lair. The kobolds are caught unaware by the party thanks to thoughtful tactics.

| The party attacked just before dawn when the kobolds were milling about and not terribly watchful. The kobold squad leader was asleep with his katana and shield lying on the ground beside him. The party sneaked through the trees and were able to drop a couple of area-effect powers before the kobolds could react.

| Dragons (and dragonspawn/kin/relatives) tend to be patterned after Tokugawa samurai for my campaign (taking Japanese names) with a particularly fanatic bend. These particular kobolds know that the price of failure is death so just as they're about to be defeated they usually attempt seppuku.

| This battle went favorably mostly since the PCs didn't try to enter the lair proper before wiping out the perimeter guards. Once the outside encampment was razed they had to decide how to proceed into the cave.

| More coming as soon as I can.
Also, I was toying with the idea of turning this into a contest. Spot every single repainted and/or modified mini throughout the entire module. Not sure if the pics are large enough/clear enough though. Could still be fun (and a real challenge) to spot every single repainted mini. Suggestions on whether or not this sounds like a good idea are welcome. The prize would be painting service by yours truly | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | I wouldn't have a shot at naming every repaint, but I can tell you that some of them look terrific. I really like the Kobold Sorcerer, and one of the trapmakers looks crazy sweet too. I've played the adventure, but I'll be tuning in periodically to browse your work. None of your players liked the only Dragonborn we had before this set? We used that one and the Gold Champion. | | Never teach a pig to sing. My base prices are $10 for small, $15 for medium, $25 for large, and $40 for
huge. Bigger than huge would by on a case-by-case basis. The base price increases for extremely high levels of detail in a sculpt,
non-metallic metals, complex bases or rebasing, freehand painting, and scripted
characters (i.e. tiny Chinese or Runic characters added as embroidery).

| More fun-fun.
The PCs decide to split up when entering the Kobold's Lair. This minimizes the chance of the entire party getting smacked by Burst powers and theoretically allows for greater tactical advantage. Irontooth and his band of merry men lays in wait for the party after hearing the sounds of battle outside.

| The Eladrin Wizard decided to do something insanely dangerous. He used Fey Step to move next to the nearest miner then risked the OA to drop Scorching Burst on the shaman and his dragonshields. The effort was rewarded as his attacks were successful and the kobolds were all scorched. The Dragonborn Cleric, Dragonborn Warlord, and Dwarf Paladin all began clearing out minions while the Elf Ranger used Twin Shot to quickly reduce the kobolds' numbers.

| Irontooth tried to rally his underlings while the shaman and dragonshields exchanged strikes with the Cleric and Wizard. The dragonshields were able to overrun the Wizard setting up flanks using their shifting abilities. The skirmishers and surviving minions pressed in to surround and flank the Paladin. The Warlord managed to hold his own using his tactical positioning powers to punish his enemies. The Ranger was forced to retreat outside as Irontooh and a skirmisher closed into melee.

| The wyrmpriest fell to a harrying flaming sphere while the dragonshields fell to blows from the Cleric's scythe as well as a well-timed (albeit unfortunately placed) burning hands (which almost killed the Cleric). The Paladin and Warlord swam fairly quickly through the skirmishers and remaining minions and pressed into Irontooth's back (who was chasing the retreating Ranger).

| Irontooth traded insults with the party members as he dropped the paladin in a flurry of attacks (critical hits are still pretty devastating in 4e). Fortunately, the party is never short of healing surge triggers so the Paladin was quickly returned to the fight. The Wizard and Cleric moved quickly up from behind to flank Irontooth and the battle was won shortly after. A note found among Irontooth's possessions created the link to Kalarel which the PCs were searching for. They quickly returned to Winterhaven to prepare to assault the Keep proper.
After a brief stop in Winterhaven the party decided to follow a clue which led them to a burial site outside of town. There a small group of bandits were holding a hostage and searching for something.

| Battle broke out as the bandits' Guard Drakes rushed at the party. The presumed bandit leader, a halfling, pelted the Wizard with sling stones while the other bandits circled around the pit to more advantageous positions. The hostage cried for help and the halfling cursed the fact that his help was useless.

| The battle is brief and bloody with both sides suffering casualties. Again, the party's incredible ability to trigger allied healing surges carried the day and the bandits were put down with the hostage remaining essentially intact.
