| Well they have had some risky flops lately. Hecatomb (neat idea, hated the cards) and Dreamblade are the first two that come to mind. I do wonder how Axis and Allies is doing, it does seem to have quite a few expansions.

However...once they moved me off DDM I sorta lost my drive. It was a blow to my motivation.
I'll land on my feet. There are other gaming companies out there taht I can go to. It's a small world and we will all cross paths again! | |

I'm sorry to hear about you being let go. My mother was just laid off recently, however just like you she landed feet first.

is never a sign that a company is doing well True to my style, I really can't say why they moved me off DDM or talk about the financial state of the company. Don't let the layoff/reorg lead anyone to think WotC is going down. They recently got a new CEO. It's pretty standard that whenever a new chief steps in he/she will shake things up, usually about 6 months after they start. We were doing the countdown, "6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1: layoff!"
WotC is, and will be, fine. They're just making adjustments they think are necessary to keep on top. Do I agree with the decisions? Yes on the strategy but No on the tactic.
I'm actually more hurt by who else was let go besides me. A lot of us were there 8+ years. Some folks were institutions.

| Plus, with the slow economy, and all the changes we've seen there recently, Restructuring is a good way to lower overhead, and maybe get some new ideas into some new areas.
Unfortunately, like most business decisions, there's not much to do for the folks hit by it.
