| Hmmmm
Top 5 would have to be
Red Hand War Sorcerer Hippogrift Kolyarut Lillend DragonMark Heir of Deneith
But there are others I can't wait to try out and are likewise skirmish worthy.
DragonKith mounted on a Stormlizard (What a combo!) Dwarf Sniper (First strike thanks to Scout, could potentially eliminate or weaken enemy fodder) Half-Orc Spy (doesn't say whose victory area on the card, that extra die for init could be all important) Hammerer (Come on, for 16 points a couple of these might be worth it) Kolyarut (Nuff Said) Thundertusk Cavalry (loads of potential) Air Genasi Swashbucker (playtesting required but I got the feeling that if used correctly could be worth it) Bralani Eladrin (Nothing new here, Nerf somewhat but still viable) Gnome Trickster (see above comment) Hero of Valhalla (Merc General's has another option) Storm Silverhand (Nuff said) Valenar Nomad Charger (loads of potential for its low cost) Maug (viable tank that hits hard) Large Water Elemental (Nice!!!) Lords of Blades (Don't you wanna dust him off and test run him again) Mezzodemon (Hmmm, maybe but it's HP is kinda low) Green Slaad (seems like fun) Howler (It's viable unlike 1.0) Marilith(teams well with the Orc Wiz) Orc Wizard (Demon Binder's new best friend) Succubus (From a sux skimish piece to WOW) Greenspawn Sneak( for 6 pts it's so useful) | | Vassal Tournament Constructed Group# 1 & 2-Champion "You are, what you do, when it counts". ------------------------- Sucessful Trade - Pan(2), Lexander (2) Trilistria (1)

| The flying horsey and the booby piece are probably going to see some play. I don't know if the Thundertusk Cavalry is as good as it could be, but, it offers something to the game that we don't have much of and so I like it.

| Ok, I'm going to be weird with this one and just name my underdog favorite: The Fiendish Snake.
Five point fodder that ignores difficult terrain. Ok, not such a big deal. But a minor action to inflict an auto 10 Poison Damage on a target taking ongoing poison damage....I don't know. This past weekend I used six of them with Lady Vol....after the poison Breath came out they just ran in and auto damaged like fiends. Shut down a Large Red dragon in Turn 2. 5 point fodder guaranteed to do 10 damage in the game (with the right warband) is pretty good in my book.
Also the Arcadian Hippogriff is going to be seeing play. Just the fact that you can put any martial figure, of which there are tons, on it.
The Large Water Elemental brings out an Aquatic Creature with some bite...and if you get the Flooded Ruins map you'll be double-moving like a fiend as it recharges his Tidal Surge power.Â
The Karsite Fighter's "You are at -5 damage the entire game" basic attack or the "If you're Arcane you're weakened the entire game" thing is also something we can expect to see pop up if an Arcane-crazy meta shows up. Seriously....all game. Classy.
I'm just talking about pieces I've seen in action....I'm sure as we play more I'll have better opinions of the "top" BW minis. -jared
PS: The Ethereal Marauder, while not top tier, is waaaaaaay too much fun. Someone else brought a Gnoll Priestess Warband (with here Daze bolt the other Gnolls were hitting at +4) with a couple of the Ethereals and it was hilarious to see the things rip through the wall and kidnap Dark Mantles with their Snatch Prey. It's interesting seeing an attack that lets a piece shift 7 Squares, even though walls.  Bad news, it requires a small enemy to do so. Beside the Dark Mantle and an unfortuenate Halfling later in the day, it didn't come up that often.

| Fiendish Snake is definately one I agree with you on.Â
His stats are really good for a 5 pt piece. Not over the top, just very playable. This was one of the minis that really stood out to me when checking out these re-stats.
Very cool stuff | | Completed trades: 16 Pending Trades: 0 Trade feedback thread: http://maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/forumid/53/postid/807160/view/topic/Default.aspx

| | I've been playtesting my Blood Wars pieces and was quite surprised (and pleased) with the Gnome Trickster. At first I thought it was somewhat of a one (or three) trick wonder. But those are really, really good tricks. And with Disguise Self, it can't be picked off by pesky archers. I'm liking this piece more and more as I think of new uses for it. | | | |

| I like the Gnome Trickster with a couple of Onis... adding a +2 att from combat advantage and +10 dmg from sneak attack to a +15/20dmg line or cone twice in a battle can be nasty.
Kolyarut is very solid.
RHWS is a great tech piece for a hitter band.
Fiendish snake looks nice with the right band. Maybe (for fun) Astral Stalker x4, Fiendish Snake x4?

| That Fiendish Snake makes me want to rehash my Poison band... couple the Snake with the Drow Priestess and her Curse of the Spider Queen power (gives any creature Vuln. 5 poison for rest of skirmish), and you have yourself some auto 15 poison damage action for a mere 5 points! Yeah, okay, I'll take that. Pop in an Astral Stalker and you're good.
Ya know, after really going through this set and actively looking for something non-AllStar to bitch about and finding nothing to really complain about, I'm really very impressed with this.
