Hi all. Question if I may. Maps...which maps are not legal for tournament play? I'm am wanting to buy a few maps, don't want to waste the cash.

If memory serves me correctly, the 3 maps that aren't allowed anymore are:
Teleport Temple (came in Wardrums Starter I think)
Dragondown Grotto (Came in the Dragon-themed map set)
Thieves' Quarter (The goofy one with the rooftops that came in the City of Peril Map set)

I believe those are the three, which is sad, as Thieves Quarter was one of my favorites.

I'm with you, Jeff. Of course I also understand it, as that was the one map that would let certain warbands succeed without losing a single piece. The whole "I block the ladder" tactic was just....so much cheatery.
I hate that I NEVER had a chance to play a game on the Dragondown Grotto map. Just never had the warband ready or when I did I lost Map choice.

Well, with the new ranged rules, the Grotto woud have been insane!

btw aren't some of the Icon Dragon maps legal? I halfway remember reading the Blue Dragon Lair was legal in 2.0 for some reason.

*Maps must be either the correct version given out at release events or in D&D Campaigns retailer kits or errata is correctly made from the online version. Errata can be found at the www.wizards.com site. Changed maps are subject to checking and possible removal from the tournament if incorrect or difficult to understand.
All DDM maps produced by Wizards of the Coast are legal as soon as the maps go on general sale.
Note: Ignore all Exit squares on older maps. They are terrain squares of the type depicted under the Exit wordage.
