| In sealed Against the Giants matches (likely 400-point), which pieces perform the best without any special combos or with relatively likely combos? Which pieces should I avoid using?
Which pieces look good on paper but not in practice? Which look good in practice but not on paper?
Are there any unlikely combos worthy of note?
I'm going to be playing in a sealed tournament very soon (in a few days), so any information is appreciated. | | Completed trades: Brenigin, desiderata, HockeyFan, MikeyChraal, Raland, GuJiaXian

| | There are quite a few good pieces in this set for sealed. Deathpriest of Orcus (U), Thunderblast Cyclone (U), Galeb Duhr (C), Chain Golem (U), and Elf Arcane Archer (U). There are several good rares to get Elder Red is a maybe, its a lot of points. Fire Titan, Death Titan, Fire Giant Raider, Skullcleave Warrior, Storm Giant Thunderer, Tomebound Arcanist, and Elder White are pieces to look at. | | | |

I certainly hope so. Wizards doesn't have San Diego Comic-Con listed on their convention or convention league schedule, but the Comic-Con exhibitors list has Hasbro listed as "Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast."
I remain hopeful that things will be the same as always this year. | | Completed trades: Brenigin, desiderata, HockeyFan, MikeyChraal, Raland, GuJiaXian

| Yeah, I know a lot of the staff, and they have some OP people heading down.
I always recommend the Titan startegy for Sealed, just because it's a lot harder to focus damage in limited.
Also, remember to swing by booth 1435 and tell Sohmer and Lar that Teflon Jeff says hi.

| It's certainly good to hear that some OP people are coming, especially since "and Wizards of the Coast" has ben dropped from the listing in favor of a comma and "Inc."
I would be distraught if I couldn't get my DDM action on. | | Completed trades: Brenigin, desiderata, HockeyFan, MikeyChraal, Raland, GuJiaXian

| Well, I can't Guarantee, but usually they have some sort of league at cons. They had one at NYCC too...

| | There's no WotC presence at all from what I can see, and SDCC isn't listed on their Convention League schedule... I am becoming concerned. | | Completed trades: Brenigin, desiderata, HockeyFan, MikeyChraal, Raland, GuJiaXian | |

| I'd vote against Chain Golem. I don't think he's good enough.
The best are Elder Red, Cyclone, Anathema, Fire Titan, Treant, Elder White, Death Titan is also nice. More or less in this order. Never played Guulvorg. Dual Cyclone rules everything, as does Cyclone + Ice Devil (Helspike:)) Shadow Hulk is ridiculous.
From normal rares, it's FGRaider, Vori Ice Devil, Arcanist, Efreeti, Storm Giant, Doresain (+ Shifter Adept), Deathpriest, Cloacktrick, Gladiator, Skullcleave, + Arcane Archer.
I've learned that the number of activations does not matter that much. There are a lot of aoe - cyclone, devil, pyromancer, breaths...I won two prereleases with 5 activations each:-) | | 2007 & 2008 Czech Republic Champion 2008 Czech Republic's Player of the Year
