After looking at the figures that were pulled in other tournaments it seems that ours was a real anomoly. We had 14 people in attendance and we had no beholders, blue dragons, zombie white dragons, aspect of nerulls, thraskors, or ravenous vampires. We really had very few "Power Pieces". There was one centaur hero and one medium gold. I found it to be really strange. Did anyone else encounter something like this?
There was an aspect of Nerull pulled, though I don't remember who pulled it as I, and apparently you necer faced him. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"

| At the event I attended, the only power pieces we saw were a Centaur Hero and an Aspect of Nerull.
In fact... even after opening prize support we still didn't see a Beholder... though we did see a Thaskor and Gold Dragon.

| | I think ours had 18 participants. We each got 1 DK booster. There were one Beholder, two Thaskors, one LBD, one Gold Dragon, one Coatl, one Ettin Skirmisher, one Centaur Hero, and one Zombie White Dragon in the tournament, that I recall. Also played, but probably not considered "power pieces"--one Champion of Yondalla, one Boneclaw, and one Goliath Barbarian...might have been a Griffon, too. Rejected for play was a Fiendish Monstrous Scorpion. I missed what other rares came to play. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| | The only undead rares pulled at ours was 2 Spectres. 1 Centayr Hero, 1 LBD, 2 Golds, 1 Ettin, 1 Couatl, and that was about it for power. Unless my awesome Valorious Prince was power. I believe there was 3 cases opened. No Beholders, Death Knights, Mummy Lords, Thaskors, or LWZs. Distribution really scares me this time around. | | Champion of Jarlaxle Sets: Star Wars Year one complete,44/60 Champions of the Force,0/60 Bounty Hunters | |

| | We saw some fun stuff at our pre-release. Two Medium gold dragons, A Large Blue, Aspect of Nerull, A centaur hero, and my Beholder. What won was an excellent combination of Goliath Barbarian and Frenzied Berzerker. | | Hmmm....the distribution on this set is kind of weird. Some places are flush with beholders, and others are not. We actually had 2 coutals come out of one case. | | Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.--Dylan Thomas

| Not exact on this, but it looked like we got two (a) (or maybe (b)) cases at ours. One case opened for boosters for tourney. No one pulled the same rare, rares were LBD, Mummy Lord, Rav Vamp, Boneclaw, Ettin Skirmisher, Spectre
6 boxes left in that case we didnt see. The other case opened for prizes. There was for sure
LBD, Mummy Lord, Rav Vamp, Ettin Skirmisher, Spectre,
Im not sure if there was a boneclaw or not as one guy I forgot to see what he got as his rares from his prizes.
Other rares popped there were a Thaskor, Beholder, AoN... so I was wondering if the other 6 from the first case had the same. | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

You couldn't have known this because I left after you did; but I pulled a Champion of Yondalla and a Ravenous Vampire from my winnings.

| With six boosters from one case (I assume) we had one each of the ettin, death knight, ZWD, ambush drake, Mummy Lord, spectre. The rares I remember from the prize case: death knight, ettin, ZWD, gold dragon, valorous prince, green fang druid, goliath barbarian, spectre, ravenous vampire, Rask, and I think another spectre.
Funny thing is, The death knight (mine), ettin, and ZWD in the prize packs all went to the people who pulled them for the skirmish. If my case has the beholder and large blue I will be content. I don't want to have to trade for those, and I sure don't want to have to buy them on ebay for over $30 apiece. My secondary wish list is ettin, aspect of Nerull, Thaskor, griffon, gold dragon, and couatl, centaur hero and ZWD. | | E-mail | Have/Want List | Reference thread "Whatever you do, don't drop a blade barrier on a troll."

| Out of the two cases I've seen, distribution has actually been not too bad:
Missing: Mummy Lord Asp of Nerull Champ of Yondalla Greenfang Druid Boneclaw
Doubles: LBD Rask Ambush Drake Thaskor Warpriest
No triples, no doubles in one case. This distribution is very slightly better than a statistical average would be. (Statistically, I would expect to be missing 6 rares after opening two cases.)

For discussions like this, the Analysis Function of the Collectible Package Generator (which will be updated next week) can be quite helpful. For example, if one opens 42 boosters, there is approximately a 13% chance that exactly 6 rares will be missing. That's bad luck, but not horribly so. The full breakdown on approximate probability of missing rares for opening 42 boosters is:
missing 0 (collected all) - 0% (negligible) missing 1 - 4% missing 2 - 12% missing 3 - 18% missing 4 - 30% (most likey case) missing 5 - 18% missing 6 - 13% missing 7 - 4% missing 8 - 1% missing more than 8 - 0% (negligible)
Note that there is about a 90% chance of missing between 2 and 6 rares.

| | The whole mix of rares seems pretty interesting. I can only afford one case for now, but I can't wait to see how it turns out. I like to get doubles of a rare, after all, a double you may be able to trade for something specific, not so randomn. Though I love the fun of the randomn too. | | "We can't stop here...This Is Bat country!"
