I had the Orc Savage as well, but had opposite luck. He never got above his 5 hit points, and he went down in every single match. Still, he absorbed an attack every game, and so was worth his small cost. I really wanted to watch him in his glory though. Dave

I played at Dreamers, got a beholder and went 3-0 for the win. After the 1st pre-release I headed over to the Monster Den. My wife dropped off my son (Devin) so he could play in this one. 12 people showed up to play, I was the 13th so I elected to sit this one out. After the starters/booster had been opened, I took a look at my son's warband and tile choices. Not to bad, I suggested 1 or 2 tweeks to make it what I thought was a better band. We took a walk to talk about his stratagy he was going to use. It sounded good, gave him the do your best with what you've got and sent him on his way. I tried to stay away from watching him play, only checking up on his progress a couple times a match. I kept myself busy by playing a 2 booster sealed(used the ones I won @ Dreamers) vs Gunthar's son, so we both had something to do. BTW- he kicked my ashe. After 2 rounds Devin was 2-0. We took another Strat walk (if you win this one you got a chance to win 6 or 4 boosters in round 4). Devin had defeated "Gunthar" in round 2. Scott said he played well, driving his Aspect of Nerull right into his mass of units. It also helped out devin that he could not miss a roll and Scott could not make a roll. After round 3 Devin was the only 3-0, defeating a 2-0 w/ the other 2-0 losing to a 1-1 in round 3. Devin collected 6 boosters for wining. There was 6 players tied @ 2-1, so each 2-1 player got an extra booster. Everybody went home w/ an extra DK booster. Here is the final standing break down. 1st-Devin 3-0(Way to go for your 1st ever tourney win. Very nice timing and makes a father proud)[:D] he got 8 boosters total (6 for win + 1 sealed + 1 for additional prize). 2nd-7th in no particular order; recieve 3 boosters each (1 for place +1 for sealed +1 for extra prize) Matt H(Pain Giver) 2-1 John R C(JCJ) 2-1 John k 2-1 Scott T (Gunthar) 2-1 D.J. 2-1(lost to devin in the 3rd round) Pat P. 2-1 8th-John E C 1-2 got 2 boosters 9th-Brando B 1-2 got 2 boosters 10th-Ed C 1-2 got 2 boosters 11th- Storm H 0-3 got 2 boosters 12th-Don't remember the guys name, he dropped after the 1st round. BTW-Here is the warband that Devin ran: Orc Stg Aspect of Nerull Renegade Warlock Dwarf Artificer (Greater MW on AoN) Kirthik Hatchling Orc Savage Emerald Claw Soldier Gnoll Skelly Dekanter Goblin Bullywug Thug M@A Mongrelfolk. 199pts and 12 activations. Congrads go out to Devin, Nice win son. Thanks to everyone that showed up and played. Hopefully we will see you all again on 4/2 for the 100pt constructed.

Ahh that 12th guy would be me. Work was paging me non stop during the first round and of course I forgot my cell phone. So I left to go to work and see what the heck was going on. As "luck"[:(!] would have it the issue was resolved by the time I got there. I just went home in disgust.

Then again, mine was attacking at +16/+16 and I had the grim necromancer d00d to lower my target's ac even more.
