| Looking through my collection last nite, I saw a few holes that I would like to see filled with future commons:
1. Human Archer - similar to the Human Crossbowman. I know we have the Dalelands Militia, Free League Ranger and Militia Archer, but I would like to have an archer that would look good on the battle field or high on a castle wall. Heck, it might be time for another crossbowman soldier as well.
2. Human/Half-elf/Elf Bandit/Thug/Brute - clothes and perhaps patchwork leather armor with a club. Something simple. I would say something
3. Watch/War Dog - a mastiff of some sort
4. Goblin with Club - I think the last two goblins have been duds. My favorite so far is the Blackblade, so a sculpt with the same quality and a club would go a long way. Heck, they could just make the Snow Goblin from Frostburn:

5. Human/Half-elf/Elf with a javelin/spear - we've got plenty people holding spears, so why not a goodly race humanoid throwing a spear?
Anyone else have any ideas? | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

| A few more:
6. Orc Archer/Crossbowman/Spearfighter - LONG over due
7. Lizardfolk Slinger/Darter - need a standard sized Lizardfolk with comparable sculpt quality to the Dark Talon Champion (I do not like the Lizardfolk Raider).
8. Lizardfolk Shaman - skull necklace, staff, shamany looking stuff.
9. Lizardfolk Spearman - throwing or thrusting.
10. Orc/Hobgoblin/Goblin Monk/Brawler - weaponless fighter ala Gnoll Claw Fighter | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

But he has a chain, and I don't necessarily like this garb. I really don't like the monk label at all, but that is what I thought of at the time. How about just a brawler then? | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

| A common must be small or medium and structurally simple. Also, I think the best commons are the ones that don't have too many small details. Otherwise, it looks like the mini is missing paintsteps. The following would be good choices for commons, IMO:
Aboleth servitor (should definitely have a glossy finish to look slimy, though). Bodak (may be too high in level, but one of the most simple monsters in the book). Spitting drake (maybe) Quickling Giant rat Spectre (maybe... All clear plastic minis so far have been uncommon or rare, right?) | | Champion of the Catoblepas

| Here are some "Commoner" Commons that could work out
Town Ruffian - a Overweight thug in leather armor, arms folded on chest and sheathed short sword in back. Skirmish: Civ/border; low point figure (10 points?) with melee sneak attack, posibly a one use daze attack
Blacksmith -Â Burly guy, apron and Hammer Skirmish: Civ/border; low to medium cost figure (15-25 points?) it gives every other creature(costing 25 or less) in your warband +2 attack Â
Wise woman - Old Crone in robes - think Hag in Human form ;) Skirmish: Wild/border; low to medium cost (15-20 points) stat wise we could go with a White witch with healing abilities, or give her some Fey Warlock abilities
Game warden - Rough looking man in leather armor, bow and shortsword Skirmish: Wild/border; low to medium cost (15-20 points) pretty much a skirmishy archer, with some sort of "Foe" ability you set before the game begins; it gives him +5 damage vrs that creature type.

| I.....I don't actually want to see Ethnic warriors/fighters in the game. Not just to have ethnic warriors in mini form. If we get expansions and sets that feature D&D equivalents of Native Americans, Jungle Natives (which I suppose just means black guys with spears....yikes), and what-not then fine but..... I'd rather just see some normal pieces wearing untraditional clothing. A lot of the Fashion in the Eberron books looks to be middle eastern, the fashion in some of the Races of Dragon whatever book is insanely different, and there are oriental classes, characters, and locals all through D&D. Ok, all I'm saying is that I want the same thing, but I don't want to think about it as a "give me ethnic minis" and more a bring me minis representing stuff that's already in the game. If that makes sense.
By the by, we've already had a common Viking miniature....Hero of Valhalla or something from a while back. I've got a couple and it always makes me laugh. "Where the hell does Odin fall into the whole D&D mythos?"

| | It's more than likely, just the quickest way to get the idea of diversity and "representation" across. Kord is effectively Thor, Frost, Fire and Mountain Giants are from Viking mythology (Jotun), it's a very easy bridge - and in 3.5 Yssdragil was part of the Demonweb module. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. 1) I wholeheartedly agree. Definitely more Japanese:) Or an Arab with a thick, nicely curved scimitar (Maur from Robin Hood?)
2) I'd like to see some more foot soldiers in various types of armor in real phalanx sculpt. Shield up front, so if I put more of them together, there are no holes.
3) A human archer not firing would also be good.
4) And that small demon thingy that's the lowliest member of them. It looks like a lump of gelatine and deformed skin:)
5) Dwarves with rifles.
6)Â Exotic Weapons. And dual weapons.
7) a single rat.
