| Our store was given the choice of July 5 or 6 for the pre-release. Ours (Bloomington Illinois) will be on the 5th.
So pre-release on the July 4th weekend and release is usually the Friday after which would indicate July 11th. | |

| What a bummer as I'll be on vacation with the family in SoCAl. Going to Disneyland oooooooooh yeah! But there seems to be a downside to this. No pre-release and no mini's until the release date. I'll take the positive, anybody want some Mickey Mouse ears?

I've always understood from the local store owner that he can choose between Saturday and Sunday for the event. That gives him some leeway to plan around other events. So the weekend, rather than a single day, is when one can expect a prerelease event. | | | |
