Hello Fellow Maxminis Members: Brief History: Dordledum has passed the torch for overseeing the Champion List to me. Count Dooku before him created the list. The Champion List was created before any Called Shots lists. The purpose is both for fun and in the hopes that the minis we select to champion will be made by WotC in future sets. Thanks to Count Dooku and Dordledum for their work on the Champion List in the past. Rules: - The concept you pick can be any one thing that WotC might or might not make into a mini, but you REALLY would like them to. You must select something that is not already being championed by someone else. It is my call on if something is too close to something someone else has already selected. - You champion the cause of that creature by putting "Champion of [insert mini concept here]" in your signature hoping WotC will heed your request and make the mini. Thereafter each of your posts will advertise the cause of that mini concept. - Once the mini has been made, you may consider yourself vindicated and you can champion another cause (1 at a time). People often put "Vindicated Champion of [actual mini name]" in their signature after WotC has officially revealed that a mini will be coming in a later set. - For example: Since DDM existed The Count wanted Twig Blight minis for "The Sunless Citadel" adventure so he has pretty much been championing them since Harbinger until they were made in WotDQ. - Note that if someone champions a category, like vermin or even centipedes, and there is not a specific one, like medium monstrous scorpions, I will not be paying close attention to the progress for their cause. In order to get vindicated, you need to pick something specific. I think that, for example, a resculpted umber hulk is specific enough. You wouldn't have to get so specific that it probably wouldn't ever happen (like an umber hulk ranger). If you were to actually want an umber hulk ranger, on the other hand, then feel free to be that specific. There are several causes I see as I scan the list that are broad categories, and I don't know where to draw the line to say if they are vindicated or not, so I won't be calling them vindicated. For example, someone is championing gem dragons. There are several kinds of gem dragons. If one gem dragon comes out, the person would rightly feel partly vindicated. The problem is, there are all the different sizes in addition to the different types of gem dragons. Because of this, the person's name won't ever be moved down to the vindicated section. If they were to say something like Large Amethyst Dragon, I could see possible vindication at some point. PS. It is frowned upon to champion a mini concept while leaks of a similar concept in production have appeared. I will not add people to the champion list if they select their cause at such a late date. I am thinking about breaking it up into categories: Group/General Specific Other The Other would include things like "better line rules" (which I think was accomplished with a recent web article on WotC) and isn't something being made into a mini. The Group/General would be for something like "Green Dragons" because there are various sizes, some of which we already have, and is difficult to establish when someone gets vindicated. The Specific ones are minis that can be vindicated more clearly. While it's fine to champion Group/General or Other causes, I just don't think that vindication is the same.

Nice to see the Champion List tended to. Unless I'm mistaken there is a Champ which was vindicated but is still on the normal list: Redspawn Arcaniss-Mama Cass (Unhallowed 56/60)

Looking at the Unknown source category, I see someone is going for the Sarrukh. Whoo-hoo! Good choice, especially considering the Scaled Ones bound to be coming in sooner or later in decent amounts. Sarrukh would rock and if its a lich even better!!!! yes the cource book is Serpent Kingdom and also a littel bit I think it was the Unapproachable East or maybe Shinning South (actually sure its south now).

The following people were noted as Vindicated Champions today for Night Below: Darkfather -- Darkmantle CarrionCrawler -- Digester EldritchSoul -- Dracotaur (Dracotaur Rager) Rhydur -- Krenshar Link -- Noble Salamander schof -- Svirfneblin (Deep Legionnaire) Some others had already been noted as vindicated champions in Night Below, but I updated the numbers where before I had recorded (NB ?/60) and some names of minis, like the alhoon being a mind flayer lich.

The way you have it, you are championing a category. You cannot be vindicated for a category, but you can still champion the cause. Do you wish to select a specific animated object (for example: Medium Animated Object) to start with?
