Regressive will start with a warband of 500 points in the first round, then it drops to 250 points in the 2nd round, then 125 points in the 3rd round etc...The warband be the same figures except you drop half the warband after each round
we hope to hold the first test case of the Regressive Format at Galactic Goods.
You start the first round of the tournament using a 500 point warband. 2nd round of the tournament, take out 250 points of figures to make a 250 point or less warband. 3rd and final round, you take 375 points out of the initial 500 point build to create a 125 point warband. Factions and Alignment rules must still be followed.
Some suggestions have been to build a 125 point warband, then add in some figures to make it 250, then add in some more to make it 500. Then on game day just play it in reverse of how you constructed it.
Also note that the 125 point matches will be played on the short maps but with a normal hour time limit. 12 figures allowed in entire warband, but max 10 per round can be used in the warband played. This will allow some flexibility between the various point limits.
I am happy to lend miniatures to other players, but if you are going to need to borrow some miniatures, please print your own cards, then email me before Feb 14th. Any warbands sent to me after the 14th have a 98% chance of not being constructed by me. J I’ll leave the other 2% open for donations of $50 per figure borrowed. Team 200 point challenge! 3 players on each team for 1 round! Minimum 6 players. Bring your own team or join a team. Special situational rules apply! Each battle affects the neighboring battle.
XOCOMP, llc in cooperation with Wizards of the Coast convention support provided over 40 D&D Miniatures boosters and dozens of promotional figures for prize support. The events were sponsored by the DDM Guild. The events were sanctioned by the Wizards DCI system.
Prizes should be D&D Miniatures, some Huge miniatures were donated as prizes.
The current format, known as the Standard format, creates a more dynamic metagame and gives newer players better access to tournament game play. All figures with DDM 2 stat cards are playable. Even huge figures are now allowed in 200 point games.
All Printed final cards are legal for standard tournaments along with purchased boosters and starter cards for D&D Battles 2.0. Please note that some errata exists for cards out of boosters.
