Wow, if the Large White Dragon is really 32 points, then that's incredibly useful for CE, I think.

Some nice poses of the Warpriest and Inquisitor, invariably many of the swords will require hot/cold treatment.  White Dragon will be good to throw into the CE beater mix.  Spell of the Alhoon, will ultimatly detmernine whether it's worth it's 63 points.  Not sure about the Medusa, likely will head straight to my RPG box.

I like the Shadowbane Inquisitor. It will likely see some play. Like raland said, the spells of the Alhoon will determine it's viability. The jarl looks nice, though I was hoping for Cmd 3 for his cyclopean cost. The white fits into a point cost that CE needs a few pieces in, though I don't think it would've been overcosted without the Flighty. Medusa isn't good enough to replace a Large Black or other beater, but is a gem for RPG. Vandria looks interesting, especially now that ranged bands are finally becoming viable.

I'm going to reserve judgement on the Medusa until I see the DC for that stone gaze. A DC 19 or higher could make that devastating. Heck, we don't even have the HP or AC of the medusa. It could be beastly hard to take down for all we know. If the power creep of the medusa is anything like the power creep of the Large Black Dragon (compared to the Black Dragon), then for 43 points, the new medusa will have AC 20, 65 HP and a DC 18 on its gaze.

Also, out of curiosity, am I reading this right? Can you make the ranged attack after someone saves against the PASSIVE gaze attack? If so, there might be some neat tricks you can pull with this.

Warpriest of Vandria CFX (Sidestep for archers) looks nice. 40 points is a lot, though. I wonder if he could bring HEBIs back in the meta. I like the Large White Dragon, finally a cheap hitter for CE. I bet it has low AC and save (Wardrummer to the rescue!), HP will be interesting. Flighty means you have to protect your commander even more.

I think so, A HEBI that can sidestep out of combat and then make 3 attacks is really good.

I like Jarl. CE needed a titan piece to help make my orc druid see more play.

I doubt the Medusa will have a dc 19 stone gaze, the Gorgon has a 19 DC stone breath thats single use and is 70 points already.

The original Medusa's gaze attack was DC 15.  I can see a DC 18 on it's gaze given the power creep.Â

But for 43 points that's a lot to pay for a so so ranged attack, uless there is something to that "Archer's Eye (can take a ranged attack immediateatly after some saves versus gaze attack)" thing to make this piece interesting.Â

The Medusa seems like a gimick, looks like you are paying 43 points for the gaze and archer eye to work, except it wont against anything with blind fight or blind sight.

Thanks for the info Raland!!!

Frost Giant Jarl - Also agreed that it should have been CR or 3 or higher for its cost.

Wow I'm impressed by the cost of LWD

Medusa sucks still until I see a DC 19 or higher

Mind Flayer Lich look good but not Tier 1

Shadowbane Inquisitor - Looks good can't wait to try it out.

Warpriest of Vandria - Wow I see archer bands making a comeback big time if he has enough HP to make it worth while trying out.

I'm new to DDM. But have played D&D for 13 years!

I think even DC 18 would be enough. But she has only one attack.

I like all of them, I hope the Lich will have useful spells.

Warpriest will need at least 50 HP, even more. But he has a great level and the AC could be good, too.

Another CG piece to change the metagame. Crazy but its really about time!!! Ranged att's are just becoming viable and this could be the piece to make sure we see actual ranged bands come into play. Sad since CG already has so much going for them. Then there's all the tricks you can probably pull with other mini's with ranged att's but are more melee pieces (Centaur Hero what???)...

Shadowbane inquisitor should be excellent. He's super beater tech. Hopefully his HP won't suffer too badly. And what about sneak att??? I think that prestige class requires rogue lvls... that would be an excellent bonus but it might just have been translated to the smite the unpure thing. Either way he looks solid.

Large white is interesting. Cheap enough to justify in CE really. Flighty kinda hurts though since CE doesn't have the sturdiest of commanders. Double dmg from cold also hurts a lot. I didn't mind it when fire vulnerable was 1/2 again as much instead of double. It has really killed a few pieces and will probably continue to do so (Noble salamander I'm looking at you!!!). Yet some have lived on somehow. Dragon shades (lg white/black/shadow combos) will probably see play. Be interesting to see which commander plays well with them. A good dragon none the less. Hopefully he still gives some type of bonus to your warband (even adjecent allies gain res cold would be acceptable), something, anything.

We already knew most of the stuff about the mindflayer I think. Should be solid but i don't know about playability. Great if he's not a commander so those att bonus' can go up but 63 pts is a lot for those hp's if he's not a commander. 2x 15dmg mm is good, the melf's will hopefully be 25 but probably only 20, kinda depends on tentacles really; I'm hoping its a perm effect like stone giant symbol- place a counter, all creatures w/i four DC XX or constrict, creatures who make save are treated as moving through difficult terrain for the remainder of thier turn.
Rock Bottom Pricing:
Arcane Archer 30, Centaur Hero 67, Human Cleric of Bane 25, Gold Champion 34, Death Knight 52, Goblin Blackblade 9, Silentwolf Goblin 7, Orc Raider 10, Dwarf axefighter 9, Healer 9, Thaskor 65, Aspect of Demogorgon 71, Ogre 9, Fire Giant 79, Human Wanderer 7, Drunken Master 18, Barghest 12, Longstider Barbarian 27, Longtooth Barbarian 22, Frost Giant 76, Ravenous Vampire 42, Large Earth Elemental: priceless

The Warpriest of Vandria is what a lot of decent CG archers have been waiting for. Hopefully, its 40 point cost is low enough to field a viable ranged warband.

That Large White Dragon looks like a pretty decent deal at 32 points. We might be seeing a lot of CE warbands with the three different large dragon types in them (Black, Shadow, and White).

The Warpriest looks interesting. It may give ranged combo pieces like the Bralani/Asura/Githyanki Renegade/Xen'Drik Champion pieces a chance on Hellspike. (Stab, sidestep, run). Of course, that would mean IT has to be able to stand up to breath weapons, which I'm not thinking it will.

As stated by others, teh Shadowbane Inquisitor looks linteresting, but will depend on Smite wording and speed.

The jarl needs a LOAD of HP to be worth his cost. I don't see it, but maybe.

The White Dragon gives you 12 points and an enery-type difference to plug in Black Bands for diversity and a little tech room, just needing 7 more points to squeeze in a Wardrummer, or have a Cursed Spirit, etc.

The Medusa? We'll see. Same for the Mindflayer Lich.

well most of the lich's spells are known, the only real question is how good is evards black tentacles. the medusa is interesting as its ability triggers whenever a creature saves vs the gaze, meaning at range 6, you can gaze and attack every round, could be something.

War priest is gonna be interesting. Good tech for epic too. Though doubtless just use stormies then anyway.

The 'Destroy Corrupt' makes me wince. Having to do more tracking of information (ie who has been smited throughout game) seems unnessary busy work.

High Inquisitor+Shadowbane inquisitor+Arcanix Guard

The High Inquisitor makes the Arcanix Guards force moral saves everytime they hit, and then the Shadowbane Inquisitor gets a damage boost against anything hit by the Arcanix Guard
