Presenting the 2009 Magical Mystery Trade!

The premise is to send a box of miscellaneous gaming goodies to the next person on the list.  They don't know what they're getting, but they'll be excited when they open the box and see what you've put in.

Here's how it works:

The first person on the list fills a box with some miscellaneous gaming stuff they have sitting around the house.  These could be books, figures, cards, dice, whatever.  This will also include a personally repainted D&D Miniature. They take the box to the post office and send it to the next person in line.

Person #2 gets the package and takes what they want in it and replaces it with an equal number of items, plus anything they want to add, INCLUDING a personally repainted figure.  They in turn send it to the next person on the list.

And so on . . . and so on . . . and so on . . .

Here's some rules:

ELIGIBILITY

1. YOU MUST be an established trading member of MaxMinis.  You need at a minimum of 25 successful/positive trades at the time you sign up.

2. YOU MUST be an established participating member of MaxMinis.  You need at a minimum of 250 posts of substantial value (simple sentences consisting of monosyllabic words, i.e., “I agree” DO NOT COUNT).  Participation in the MaxMinis chat room is not required but is recommended.

3. NO Bad Traders.  If you have bad or unresolved trades, or will, you will not be allowed to participate.

4. YOU MUST continue to be an eligible member of MaxMinis to remain on the participant list.

5. YOU MUST provide, via e-mail to the Magical Mystery Trade Conductor, your Username, Real name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Send your application to Qucalion_of_Celene at Yahoo dot Com.

6. AT THIS TIME, Overseas (not including Canada) members are excluded from participation.  Due to the amount of time it takes for turnaround of packages shipping International (not to mention the costs), we are not including international.  This may change at a later date for overseas shipping just prior to the return of the MMT if there is enough interest.

7. REGISTRATION will CLOSE on July 1st, 2009.  This, hopefully, will enable the Magical Mystery Trade complete by the end of the year.

8. YOU AGREE to comply with ALL these rules and to complete your portion of the MMT in a timely fashion.�Failure to do so may result in a Bad Trader complaint.

RESTRICTIONS

1. MAXIMUM SIZE for the box is 8"x11"x5" or 440 sq. inches in Volume.  This will help cut down on the shipping costs to some degree.

2. YOU MUST conform to the local postal laws (i.e., no dangerous or corrosive items, etc.)

CONTENTS

1. YOU MUST replace what you take.  You take out three items; you MUST put in three items of a similar type. You can add in more, but not less.

2. YOU MUST also place in a personally repainted figure.  Not one of the official repaints, but one you did yourself, even a “wrackspawn ghost” or "cyber-hyena".

3. YOU MUST include a stat card for the aforementioned personally repainted figure!

4. YOU MUST autograph the aforementioned stat card for the aforementioned personally repainted figure.

5. NO JUNK.  Yes, "junk" is relative, but it has to have some value.

TRADING

1.  YOU MUST set up a trade with the next person on the list so you will know when the package has been sent and when it has been received. Be sure to include your mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address!

2. YOU MUST post what you have received in the MMT, but not what you have taken or placed therein.�Post in the appropriate thread in the D&D Minis General Discussion forum.

3. YOU MUST photograph the aforementioned aforementioned personally repainted figure and post it for all to oooh and ahh.  Or get someone to post it for you.�Post it in the appropriate thread in the Crafter’s Corner forum.
