A complete set without elves (aside from drow).
First thoughts: I'm looking forward to see the troglodytes. I'm happy to get a green kuo-toa. I'm glad to see two drakes, since these seem very common enemies in LFR.
What's the infernal armor like?

| | 11 Oct 2008 05:29 AM | | Awesome thanks for sharing i have mix feelings now over the set. Must see pics , it might change my mind. Another bear? Another deathlok? goblin of loth? devils I never heard of!, Troglodytes (which look terrible in 4th ed.), a metal trap sigh. Man I was pumped about this set and excited about to see what has not been known. The phase spider and the Sarcophagus (which might pass as a mimic depends on pic)are the only news ones that jump out at me. Where are the minis of monsters that have been around since the 70s that have not been done yet? I sooner see a flumph!(sp?) | | | "Wtf is Heroscape? I play D&D." ScruffyRanger

5. Grinning Imp u - cool enough for variety 6. Infernal Armor c - interested 8. Tiefling Cleric of Asmodeus u - a waste since I don't use Tieflings, but may be a good bad guy down the road 10. Deathgrasp Sarcophagus u - very interested in seeing this 11. Drow Adventurer (nice pose, grasping a scimitar with both hands) u - got lots of drow but we'll see 13. Lolthbound Goblin c - got lots of goblins but we'll see 14. Runespiral Demon c - a common demon, hmmm? looking forward to it 17. Soulrider Devil u - as above 18. Deathlock Wight c - the last wight was only meh, don't really need more but hmmm 20. Drow Assassin (another nice pose) c - more drow hmmm 26. Phaseweb Spider u - got lots of spiders 28. Gnoll Demon Adept u - sounds way cool. should be excellent 32. Bugbear Strangler (looks male) u - could be a nice addition 36. Scythejaw (looks like a mechanical trap!) u - sounds awesome 45. Warforged Battle Captain u - warforged should just got to hell 46. Corruption Corpse u - hmmm, might be good 48. Guard Drake c -not sure I need drakes but 51. Tiefling Cleric of Asmodeus u - not stoked about the 4e look of tieflings until now, but we'll see 10. Deathgrasp Sarcophagus u - I think I love it 11. Drow Adventurer (nice pose, grasping a scimitar with both hands) u - another drow is allways nice 13. Lolthbound Goblin c - I'm wondering what's so lolthbound about it 14. Runespiral Demon c - I hope it's a bit like a new dretch or something similar 17. Soulrider Devil u - could be cool 18. Deathlock Wight c - will it be like a wight or a deathlock? we've got both already 20. Drow Assassin (another nice pose) c - a common drow, hope it looks better than lolth's sting 26. Phaseweb Spider u - could it finally be the large uncommon spider I used to champion a year agop? 28. Gnoll Demon Adept u - can be great 32. Bugbear Strangler (looks male) u - wanna see this sculpt 36. Scythejaw (looks like a mechanical trap!) u - very useful for RPG me thinks 45. Warforged Battle Captain u - another robot 46. Corruption Corpse u - is it a dungeon dressing corpse or is it a more dynamic posed undead me wonders, I actually hope the first 48. Guard Drake c - was not waiting for drakes either 51. Troglodyte Brute c - guess it'll be more stonefolk as I call them 52. Troglodyte Curse Chanter u - and a shaman for the tribe 58. Dire Bear Mauler u - I guss this could be great, like to see the pose
Now the waiting starts for the first people with scanners.

D. The grinning imp is, indeed, cool looking but the Infernal Armor, however, is sort of comical in appearance. I don't use tieflings in my campains, but the Tiefling Cleric will show up as a villain at some point. The Deathgrip Sarcophagus is a big, sinister-looking box, lol; nice dungeon dressing. Drow Adventurer and Drow Assassin are nice either as a pc mini or an npc. The Lolthbound Goblin as backward bending knees, like a gnoll, and I can't figure out wtf the Runespiral Demon is supposed to be, but the Soulrider Devil has a sort of Egyptian look, imho. Deathlock wights are common, 'nuff said! The Phaseweb Spider is...odd; I can't describe it. I don't like the exaggerated look that 4E gnolls have acquired, so I can't say much good about the Gnoll Demon Adept; the Bugbear Strangler is sort of blah looking. The Scythejaw is another good dungeon dressing piece for rpg. Meh, on the Warforged Battle Captain. The corruption Corpse is standing, reaching out and looking all green and gooey. I like the Guard Drake; gonna get a few to use as a pack of raptors for lost world encounters. Both Trogs are meh, and the Dire Bear is posed similarly to the Cave Bear. Regards, V

| | 13 Oct 2008 07:04 AM | | Thanks VFults.
There's a load of stuff there that I don't want, but I'm excited by the number of 'dungeon dressing' features.
After the disappointments of the rescult frenzy of the last few/many sets, I'm pleased with this new development.
The sarcophagus and trap sound great, and I'm already pleased with the preview of the mushroom. The human bandit looks fun, and might even do as a noncombatant.
Overall, slim pickings for me - I have so many minis already - but still a few for me to look forward to. Better than the last few sets, even without seeing all the pictures. | | Champion of the Bodak.Knight of the Aboleth.Squire of Gnomes. Friend of (Non-Ugly) Fey.
