There are Against the Giants Huge Set art. Apparently a Huge Silver and a fire giant. But wait! theres more! after all the fire giant guesses Shoe made a reply.
Technically, not a fire *giant*.
But close, very close.
And still very awesome.
anyone have a clue what it could be?

Probably not. Shoe did say not technically a fire "giant". So fire something or other is in there. | | | Over 290 successful online DDM trades.

A Huge White would rock, but with the recent release of Icingdeath, I doubt it'll be in this next huge set. | | | Over 290 successful online DDM trades.

That would be a shame to "waste" a huge slot of an exclusivly 4th edition monster. Not all of us will be converting to the new edition. :( I guess its the 4th edition set so I'm preparign for A LOT of these dissapointments in the weeks to come. And why does WotC love Fire so much? If there is a creature that is elemental we always get fire first (or even worse...exclusivly). The very first Large Elementals released in a set we got fire..First and only Huge Elemental is Fire...Same with our only Small Elemental. The first Mephit we got was fire and first 4th Edition Elemental Archon was Fire. Why is that? Is fire everyones favorite element or something? | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| | 22 Dec 2007 04:29 AM | | IÂ find it rather silly if the Silver Dragon is Medium or Large. If it is then yeah resculpt and its no big deal. Its the comment that the Aspect of Bhamut from WotDQ is a good enough proxy so they didnt make a Huge Silver Dragon that I find odd. Why make that comment when you know someone (like me) will make a snarky comment like "Why make a Medium or Large Silver Dragon when the Medium Silver Dragon from Underdark and Large Silver Dragon from Archfields make good proxies?" Just seems silly to point out that you arent making a creature we dont have because it can be proxied while you are showing off that you are making a RESCULPT instead. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight | |

(huh?) I don't want to see another huge red until all the five chromatics and metallics have been done once each. And I would be much more interested in a huge black (which wouldn't really be a resculpt since the first one was mounted) than a resculpted huge red. | | "Look to God and live." Maybe 4th edition bring to us some elemental Giant like Ice Giant, Magma Giant and not Giants with only some affinity to elements!

A huge magma? giant would be pretty spiff. Large would be better (since it would work as a fire giant as well).

Fire is the easiest "wow" factor element when using clear plastic. Additionally, it's much easier to sculpt flames than it is to sculpt air. It also can't help when earth elementals are dubbed "Ben Grimm" and the "Large Poo Elemental." | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? The only allowable resculpt in my mind would be a Male Storm Giant. I don't think I was clear enough. Based on what you have said here, you are agreeing with me. I am saying that I'd rather see a Huge Green and Huge Blue Dragon before another Huge Red. I could see them doing another Huge Red since they are very popular (more people will buy boosters to try and get one) and they are very expensive to get in the secondary market. To give a prime example, the Beholder is being released again in the next set. We got one in Deathknell and then another in Unhallowed. Yet the 3rd set after Unhallowed, Dungeons of Dread will see the release of a 3rd Beholder mini. Obviously WotC know that Beholders sell so they keep putting out slightly different versions of them. By the same thinking, I think that a Large Red Dragon will almost certainly be in the Dungeons of Dread set, simply because it will get people buying the minis to try and get one. I guess now that you clarified I totally agree with you :) I know 4th edition is a brand new game so 90% of minis in the next 2 sets will be resculpts or 4th edition exclusive stuff. But dispite this we definitly need to see new huges. There arent enough of them to make any resculps yet. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight
