It's probably old news but I just heard from the owner of a FLGS that the pre-release repaint for desert of desolation will be a warhorse! Very cool!

Old news!?! I THINK NOT!

This means we'll have a Warhorse on DoD.  O_o

This would be really neat to see......

If it is the DoD1 prerelease repaint, that must mean it's Uc/C! Nice!

No way it's a common.  I'd bet UC.  But that's very interresting if it's true.  Means they're serious about new "Mounted" rules for just about any medium or smaller mini.

Well I don't know exactly but he must have received some sort of notification of the event which mentioned the repaint. I know him and the store enough to know he wouldn't have mentioned it unless he was pretty sure. Er.. does it matter?

Yeah I got a scoop.

Not old news, it's New News!

And good news. An unmounted mount is high on many people's wish lists. A repaint indicates that it's most likely uncommon.

So what is the Warhorse mounting?

Come on....like we're going to get a mount without a rider! I don't believe it!

Count me as one of the rare RPGers who really doesn't want one. M-E-H.
Lots of folks have wanted these for a long time though, so I don't lament the choice too much.

Sadly it could change and break it... and not get fixed as _everything_ gets fixed in DDM II

Can't see using them in my RPG game.  Look me up if you're looking to obtain some.  I'll gladly take your Guardian Mummies for them!

I can. I don't attack the PC's every time they make camp, but it happens often enough that having mini's to represent where their horses are would be quite useful to me.

It's great news indeed, but didn't you guys see it coming? I love that we're getting it as a repaint as well though, great choice!

I guess it was one of those genconreports which stated that there were like three or four riderless mounts in the DoDe set for use with the new mounting rules. IIRC it was Guy Fullerton who said these new mounting rules were very good.

I'm in the same boat as Wraithborne - neat that we're getting some, but not even close to my "Must Have" list...if I get any, they'll be going in the trade pile...

I'm curious if the riderless mounts will have a medium-base-sized flat spot for you to put the rider figure so that it's visually clear whether someone is riding it and who the rider is.

Nope, someone mentioned at GenCon that the riders are placed on the Mounts Card off to the side to represent that they are being ridden.
